Good News!!! BBM For Nokia Lumia Coming Soon!!!

You know most atimes I kept wondering why will BBM intelligently bypass window phone like Lumia to
supports Android and iPhone operating system. And I just can’t find the best answers to that question.
I was surfing the net a while ago and I discovered some group of passionate developers are already
working hard to lunch BBM for Window8 phones. BBM for windows phone 8 devices is already rumoured
and is in progress according to the report from some hidden BlackBerry’s officials.
According to the report, Nokia Lumia 520, Lumia 620, Lumia 625, Lumia 720, Lumia 820, Lumia 920, Lumia
1020 and all Nokia and HTC devices running the Windows Phone 8 (WP8) platform will be getting the
update early from those devices running Windows Phone 7.5 Mango like Nokia Lumia 510, Lumia 610,
Lumia 710, Lumia 800 and the Lumia 900.
Well, I really hope to see this coming to pass soonest if actually they are working on it. Though BlackBerry
took a long time to confirm the BBM app for Android and iOS so its obvious that they will take some more
time to confirm the BBM app for windows phone platform.
In other words, there is hope for Nokia users. Let’s wait and see what next.

Nigeria To Witness Solar Eclipse

The National Space Research and Development
Agency (NASRDA) has predicted that Nigeria will
witness a partial solar eclipse on November 3,
2013.
Speaking at a press conference, yesterday in Abuja,
on the anticipated solar eclipse, which will hit most
states around noon, the director-general of the
agency, Prof. Seidu Mohammed, said it is a natural
astronomical event with no significant negative
implication, urging Nigerians to remain calm as the
eclipse will not hinder normal activities.
Mohammed said, “Nigeria is within the penumbra
region where you’ll have partial eclipse on
November 3, 2013. As an astronomical agency, we
have taken time to inform Nigerians of the eclipse,
which will take place on Sunday, because it is our
duty to keep the nation informed of such
developments. We urge Nigerians to remain calm
as there is no need to panic.
“November 3rd will be like any other day; it will not
hinder signal from the satellite, so mobile signal
will not be affected, our internet and other facilities
will be operating and it will not even affect flights;
nothing out of the ordinary is expected to occur
apart from a shadow bend which will be felt just at
the time we predicted. We have predicted the
starting time and when it will end, which is around
4pm in most cities.”
In his presentation, the director, centre for basic
space science, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Prof.
Fidelis Opara, explained that an eclipse is an
astronomical event that occurs when an
astronomical object is temporarily obscured, either
by passing into the shadow of another body or by
having another body pass between it and the
viewer as seen from the earth.
He explained that solar eclipse occurs when the
moon passes between the sun and the earth, and
the moon fully or partially blocks the sun.
Giving prediction of the time the eclipse will hit
some of the states in Nigeria, Opara said the
eclipse will begin in Abakiliki by 1. 06pm and end
by 4.09pm; Ibadan will start by 12.52pm and end by
4.01pm; Port Harcourt starts 1.03pm to 4.09pm,
Enugu starts 1.04pm to 4.07pm; Lagos starts
12.50pm to 4.01; Kano begins 1.07 to 4.01; Abuja
begins 1.03 to 4.03 while Uyo begins by 1.06pm to
4.09pm.
The eclipse which will affect different African states
and other regions of the world will start around
11.38am to 2.55pm in Accra, Ghana.
Other locations to witness the partial solar eclipse
includes Hamilton, Bermuda, New York, New York,

BBM for Android and BBM for iPhone: Official Launch Details

This is the news you’ve been waiting for! I am
thrilled to tell you that we are about to officially
resume our rollout of BBM for Android and iPhone
customers around the globe!* In the next few
hours, people will start seeing BBM in Google
Play, the App Store and in select Samsung App
Stores – where it will be free to download.
The demand for BBM on Android and BBM on
iPhone continues to be amazing. About six
million people signed up for information about
BBM at BBM.com. As you know, in just seven
hours, about one million Android users were
using the unreleased version of BBM for Android.
What you don’t know is that more than one
million people have found creative ways to “side
load” BBM on their iPhone. This is incredible.
To help manage this unprecedented pent up
demand for BBM, we are implementing a simple
line-up system to ensure a smooth roll out.
Here’s how it is going to work…
BBM Roll Out Details:

BBM.com from your Android or iPhone
browser*
2. Once you install the app, open it, and enter
your email address to hold your spot in
line
3. We will email you as soon as you reach
the front of the line and can start using

If you are among the millions that took the time
to sign up at BBM.com, you can start using BBM
immediately without waiting in line.* If you
didn’t sign up in advance, don’t worry – we are
focused on moving millions of customers
through the line as fast as possible.

make some upgrades while we’re at it – and
some incredible work has been done. I look
forward to sharing more of this with you here, on
Inside BlackBerry, soon.
For updates on how quickly the line is moving
you can follow @BBM on Twitter. I will be back
